The incident led to the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
