On Monday, the tribunal learned communication data and data retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another recorded message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a living here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that via emails, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who compiled the information, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will continue and I plan to establish my claim."

Court proceedings
Kate and Gerry McCann gave evidence to the court from using a security measure on Wednesday

The court heard Mrs Spragg struck up a relationship online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in that winter.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had contacted through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the time leading up to the appearance to the village, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court heard communications between the two accused, in last November, planning attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We need to make a stand," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the visit to their residence, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which expressed: "We are sat outside the McCanns' home with our lights out resembling investigators. I desired to accomplish this with someone else I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The case continues.
